We are merely DAYS away from the biggest shopping days (and my personal favorite holiday) of the year!! Is your business ready for Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday? Do your Social Media Accounts reflect that?
Here are 5 quick and easy tips – we know how crazy this time of year can be – to help you get started with your Holiday Prep and to keep your content fresh as the holidays approach!
As in, yesterday! If you haven’t been talking about your holiday specials, or at least teasing that you WILL have them on your social accounts, NOW is the time to start. There is a reason that sites like BFAds.net, and BlackFriday.com exist…people want to know what the deals are, and they don’t want to wait!
Offer specials for your social customers ONLY. This is two-fold. If your customers think they’re getting an exclusive deal; they want it more and if people think they might be MISSING out on a deal, they also want it more! That means more sales, more Page Likes, and more Follows on those social sites that could always use some additional attention.
Make a List
Santa makes them this time of year; you should, too! Highlight your top products with a short review of them. Offer a series of deals or sales on your items and list a new one each day approaching your big shopping days. It’s doesn’t really matter WHAT the list is, it just entices your customer and keeps them returning to your page daily.
Ask your Customers for Help
Everyone knows that YOU love your products, but it means a little more when they hear about how much OTHER people love it! Reach out to your frequent fliers and ask for their help. Send them some holiday favorites and ask them to share their love of the products with their friends or family on their social accounts! They will love the honor, their “people” will love the recommendation, and you will love the additional sales!
Schedule your posts
Social IS important, but don’t run yourself ragged keeping up with it! If you aren’t able to hire a Social Media Manager to handle these things for you, do what you can to keep your site active and your sanity in check by scheduling posts in advance! It’s still okay to post ‘on the fly’ with new products and happenings in the moment, but this way you have your bases covered if you don’t have the chance otherwise. (Side note…if you ARE able to hire a Social Media Manager, I know a girl! 😉)
Make sure your Special Holiday Hours are listed and highlighted! Change them on your social sites (Google My Business Included). Post them and repost them so that your customers are certain when they can get the deals!
While we have been urging you to get your online store ready for the holidays since, well, way back in August…it’s officially CRUNCH TIME!! Spend a little time this weekend getting your Last Minute Social Plans in order, and it will be smooth sailing into the New Year!
